Our Program
At Turramurra OOSH, we are committed to providing a well-rounded and child-centred program that balances intentional teaching with opportunities for autonomous play. Our approach nurtures children's development while allowing them to explore and engage independently with our supervised environment. Our program is guided by the National Approved Learning Framework for School Aged Care.
How We Program
Our programming team, led by our educational leader, plans the upcoming week's activities and play experiences. This planning process draws on a diverse range of inputs, including:
-
Direct feedback & suggestions from children
-
Written observations from educators on both planned and spontaneous play
-
Relevant cultural holidays & community events, both global and local
-
And what the kids are having the most fun with!
Common Activities
Here are some of the Planned activities we usually do at OOSH, but we are always introducing new activities too:
-
Crafts: Beading, Colouring, Painting, Craft Constructions, Chalk Drawing, Slime Making, Face Painting, Cooking & Recycled Craft Free Play
-
Sports: Soccer, AFL, Basketball, Skipping, Capture the Flag, Survival Tag, Dodgeball, Gaga Ball, Cricket, Handball, European Handball
Spontaneous Play & Our Environment
We put great value on spontaneous and autonomous play, and with that in mind, we provide children with a range of resources that they can access independently or with the help of our educators. Our facilities include a wide array of toys and board games, craft resources, digital devices, sports equipment for outdoor play, and free play areas such as the COLA, garden spaces, outdoor tables, table tennis tables, our oval, climbing equipment and our Gaga Ball pit.

Community Input
We value the input of our parents, family and community and encourage you to share any suggestions or questions you may have. Please contact our educational leader via edleader@tpsoosh.com.au . We look forward to hearing from you!
